Management Board

The Management Board of Lublin Medicine – Medical and Wellness Cluster was appointed under Partnership Agreement signed by The City of Lublin Corporation and Medical University of Lublin on 21 January 2014.
The Management Board consists of four members: two representatives of The City of Lublin Corporation and two representatives of the Medical University of Lublin.

Information on the members of the Management Board:

Mariusz Sagan, Ph.D – Head of Strategy and Entrepreneurship Department at the Municipality of Lublin and plenipotentiary of the Mayor of Lublin for the special economic zone. Lecturer at the Warsaw School of Economics, expert and practitioner in enterprise development and strategic management, including city strategies. Author and co-author of more than 70 publications in regional development and city development, international business and enterprise management. Member of Global Advisory Board in Center for Leadership and Management at the Rutgers University, USA.

Marzena Strok-Sadło – Head of Business Ecosystem Office in the Strategy and Entreprenership Department at the Municipality of Lublin. Employment in public administration – since 2011. Mrs Strok-Sadło has long experience in assessing credit risk as well as managing projects, teams, and sales processes, which she gained while being employed on managerial positions in financial institutions, e.g. in BRE Bank S.A., Deutsche Bank Polska S.A., BPH S.A., Svenska Handelsbanken AB S.A. In the City of Lublin Corporation Mrs Strok-Sadło is responsible for supporting new cluster-related initiatives.

Robert Rejdak, M.D. – Vice-Rector for Internationalization and Digitization of the Medical University of Lublin. Since 2011, he has been the Head of the General Ophthalmology Clinic of the Medical University of Lublin and a lecturer and coordinator of practical training in vitreoretinal surgery (vitreous body and retina) at the European School for Advanced Studies in Ophthalmology (ESASO) in Lugano, Switzerland. He is a co-founder and manager of the Supra-Regional Center for the Treatment of Ocular Injuries at SPSK No. 1 in Lublin. In January 2019, he became the president of the Association of Polish Ophthalmologists.

Beata Gawelska – Medicine doctor, internal medicine specialist. Head of the Independent Public Clinical Hospital No. 1 in Lublin. She has over 10-year experience in healthcare bodies operating under National Health Fund. Specialist in practical use of medical law, including contracting, settling, and controlling benefits financed from state budget as well as in system-related healthcare protection problems and in various aspects of cooperation between healthcare institutions and the National Health Fund.
