From 12th to 16th February 2018, Lublin Medicine – Medical and Wellness Cluster hosted journalists and representatives of Ukrainian media. The visit was a part of the pro-health promotion programme under sub-measure 3.3.2 of the Operational Programme Smart Growth (POIR) “Promotion of Polish economy based on Polish brands – Polish Economy Brand” by the Polish Tourist Organization.
Among the visitors there were representatives of nationwide mass media, including radio, television or electronic media. Not only were the contacts between entrepreneurs and journalists established, but also a press article, a radio announcement or a promotional film on the visit (posted online or on social networks) will be published. During their stay in Lublin, journalists visited medical facilities cooperating with Lublin Medicine – Medical and Wellness Cluster, such as private hospital ŻagielMed, Medical Center Luxmed, and ProSkinClinic – Laser Hair Removal and Cosmetology Clinic. The guests also familiarised themselves with current and past cluster activities.
The second day of the visit was devoted to the issues of health protection in Poland as well as the tourist offer of our city and region. In the Independent Public Clinical Hospital No. 4 in Lublin, we discussed new technologies in medicine, among others, in cardiology, radiology, neurosurgery, while in the Independent Public Clinical Hospital No. 1 in Lublin, telemedicine solutions that we test in ophthalmology met with great interest of our visitors. In the afternoon, at the Lublin Regional Tourist Organisation, there was a meeting, after which the guests enjoyed the opportunity to visit the city. They also got to know the history of Lublin breweries (Perła-Browary Lubelskie S.A.) which constitute an excellent example of adaptation of post-industrial objects.
Our guests spent the last day of the visit in Nałęczów, in the Nałęczów Health Resort S.A. by exploring and experiencing its potential – it is the only single-profile Cardiology Health Resort in Poland – and a long-standing tradition of this place.
