Company from Lublin, SDS Optic, tested its innovative technology in Finland within ProVaHealth project implemented by the Municipality of the Lublin City

With the support of Laurea University of Applied Sciences (HQ in Vantaa, Finland) and the Municipality of the Lublin City, as a coordinator of the Lublin Medicine Cluster, SDS Optic – SME  from Lublin, Poland had an opportunity to present its inPROBE HER2+ Breast Cancer Diagnostics technology on November 15th 2019 at Women’s Hospital, part of Helsinki University Hospital in Finland.

HUS is the largest hospital in Finland, very opinion leading center and a scientific center for new medical technologies coming into Finland. The Women’s Hospital and its Radiology unit performs in average 10 breast biopsies a day and the Surgical Oncology unit performs around 1500 surgeries a year which makes the hospital the largest cancer diagnostics and surgical oncology center in Finland.

SDS Optic has benefited largely from this “ProVaHealth – Product Validation in Health” project. It has been crucial to company’s further clinical development having a chance to discuss inPROBE technology specifics and potential future medical applications with PhD, MD Katja Hukkinen –  HUS Radiology Key Expert in the clinical technology – Mateusz Sagan, Company’s Chief Business Officer.

The meeting was a part of the international “ProVaHealth – Product Validation in Health” project co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund under Interreg Baltic Sea Region Programme 2014-2020.

ProVaHealth facilitates access to health infrastructures for startups and SMEs aiming for commercialization with excellent client validation opportunities, hands-on feedback and input for product development.
