New programme for startups in medical industry

The Polish Development Fund, in collaboration with PFR Ventures, has launched an innovative program called the Healthcare Investment Hub, specifically designed for startups in the #healthtech, #medtech, and #biotech sectors

𝐆𝐨𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦:

  • Facilitating ecosystem networking.
  • Providing access to knowledge and VC funding.
  • Offering support in project development.
  • Establishing a specialized hub for health innovation.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐬:

  • Knowledge: Online workshops and two on-site bootcamps in Warsaw.
  • Consultations: Online discussions and preparation for meetings with international venture capital funds.
  • Networking: Meetings with investors and expert analyses.

Eligible applicants include legal entities seeking investment, having developed a functional prototype, and possessing clear intellectual property rights to their technology.

*Participation in the program is free of charge.

From the submissions received, 15 teams will be selected from the following sectors:

  • 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡 – for instance, solutions aimed at enhancing healthcare efficiency, accessibility, and quality;
  • 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡 – including diagnostic and therapeutic tools (including medical devices);
  • 𝐛𝐢𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡 – such as the development of new pharmaceuticals.

The program involves not only funds such as: 415C, heal.capital, HealthCap, Karista and Sofinnova Partners, but also companies and institutions dedicated to advancing health innovation.

Participating organizations include: Novartis Poland, Venture Café Warsaw, BioForum, LifeScience Cluster Krakow, Lawmore, EIT Health, A4BEE, Nencki Institute, AI in Health, Institute of Mother and Child.

Recruitment for the program runs until August 2nd.
