Over the past two years, more than 60 students have completed practices and internships in the Lublin Medicine – Medical & Wellness Cluster at the Lublin City Hall. It was the result of the cooperation between the Lublin Medicine – Medical & Wellness Cluster and the Department of Public Health, Medical University in Lublin, headed by prof. zw. dr hab. n. med. Teresa Kulik, with the direct involvement of dr hab. n. o zdr. Anna Pacian, as well as the Division of Applied Linguistics, Marie Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin, headed by prof. dr hab. Jarosław Krajka, with dr Rafał Augustyn’s active support.
Students helped in the preparations for the Health and Medical Tourism Summit Eastern Europe 2018, among others, by supporting the Cluster Office in the substantive preparation of this international conference. During the conference, a group of 20 students of the Division of Applied Linguistics under the supervision of dr Rafał Augustyn, participated in B2B meetings and provided linguistic support for the participants, by interpreting in English, Ukrainian, Belarusian and Russian, which met with endorsement by experts from around the world.
Ms. Klaudia Kister, a second-year student of the Faculty of Medicine at the Medical University in Lublin, was the coordinator of cooperation between the Cluster Office and students of both universities during the preparations for the conference.
Owing to the involvement of the academic community, organisation and substantive preparation, the first edition of the conference Health and Medical Tourism Summit Eastern Europe 2018 has been rated highly and appreciated by its participants
