The “LubTech-Digital Health 2021” international conference dedicated to digital health was held on the 8th of September 2021 at the Lublin Conference Centre in Lublin. The main organisers of the event were the Marshal’s Office of the Lublin Region, the City of Lublin, the Medical University of Lublin and the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin.
The initiative, which led to the organisation of the conference, came to be as a result of cooperation within the Lublin Medicine Cluster – the largest cluster in the area of health and medicine in Poland. This is the first of a series of conferences on new technologies that will be held under the joint LubTech brand. Several companies belonging to the Cluster, namely Netrix Group, Billennium, Medisept, Migam RKPK actively took part in organizing the event.
The conference gathered over 30 panelists from Poland, Belgium, Denmark and Italy. Experts associated with the scientific and business environment, representatives of medical entities, government and local government administration and business environment institutions debated about current trends in the field of e-health. The most important objectives, implemented and planned projects, potential sources of financing, and the system of support for the development of innovation in this area were discussed. The exchange of experience in an international environment was also an opportunity to broaden one’sknowledge in the fieldof legal, social and ethical barriers to the implementation of innovations in the realm of e-health.
The conference was attended by more than 1100 participants in total, at the conference venue and online.
The conference was organised under the honorary patronages of the Minister of Health, Minister of Education and Science, Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy, Ministry of Development and Technology, National Centre for Research and Development, President of the Medical Research Agency, Marshal of the Lublin Region, Lublin University of Technology, Medical University in Lublin, Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin.
