On May 27, the online meeting of coordinators, board members and representatives of entities which are members of the Lublin Medicine Cluster and the partner cluster from Latvia – Latvian Health Tourism Cluster, dedicated to the opportunities for cooperation in ophthalmology, was held.
On the Latvian side, the meeting was attended by the representatives of Riga Stradins Univeristy, Children’s Clinical Univeristy Hospital, Latvian American Eye Center. The Lublin Medicine Cluster was represented by the Medical University of Lublin and the City Office of Lublin staff.
The potential and achievements of the Medical University of Lublin and the scope of cooperation with the European School for Advanced Studies in Ophthalmology (ESASO) have been presented by Prof. Mario Toro. The meeting was attended by Prof. Robert Rejdak – Prorector for Internationalisation and Digitalization of the Medical University of Lublin, Management Board Member of the Lublin Medicine Cluster. Opportunities for cooperation in the field of ophthalmology from the Latvian side have been presented by Prof. Guna Laganovska from Riga Stradins Univeristy and the representatives of the Latvian American Eye Center.
During the meeting, potential areas of cooperation has been discussed and another joint initiative in this area has been planned.
